I have more than two decades of experience in office management, administration and coordination in a variety of industries. I have a certificate from the startSMART Entrepreneurship Program and have been operating my own business since 2016.
I work from home in Saskatoon and spend my free time playing volleyball, urban homesteading and blogging about small business.

I was terrified to start my own business. I always wanted to be self-employed but it took me decades to finally do it!
Even then I needed one last nudge. Getting laid off for the second time from the mining industry was what finally gave me the motivation.
So, I reached out to someone who was doing what I wanted to do, and as luck would have it, she told me there was an entrepreneurship course coming up in the next couple of weeks!
The government supplemented the course so I could afford to focus all my energy on it.
The course taught me the ins and outs of becoming my own boss. It guided me through writing my business plan and acquiring the funds needed to get started.
I’m so grateful I had that support and now I can pass this knowledge on to you!
